F1 Monday: no session in Austin, Antonelli still leads by 102
The United States GP is 23-25 October. Race on 25 October at 15:00 local. Antonelli 340, Russell 238. Mercedes 578.
The clock does not move on Monday
There is no Formula 1 session on Monday, 19 October. Sky Sports lists the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas for 23-25 October, with the race on Sunday, 25 October. This desk keeps the race time at 15:00 local and does not convert it. No Austin lap has a time.
The drivers’ championship is unchanged from Singapore. Kimi Antonelli has 340 points. George Russell has 238. The gap is 102. Lewis Hamilton is third on 229, Max Verstappen fourth on 221, Charles Leclerc fifth on 215 and Lando Norris sixth on 201. Mercedes have 578 constructor points. Ferrari have 444. The gap is 134. McLaren have 339, which is the team total.
How Austin can end it
RacingNews365’s 19 October permutation says Antonelli can be champion in Texas only by winning the grand prix. A win would take him to 365 points. Russell would need eighth or better to keep the deficit under 125 points. Ninth is two points and would leave the gap at exactly 125, which that report says Antonelli would then win on countback: nine victories to Russell’s three. The same table says Hamilton must finish fourth or higher to stay alive if Antonelli wins. Second through tenth for Antonelli cannot close the title this weekend. A page that already names a United States GP winner is not used here. The race is on Sunday.
