Luka Doncic scored 53 points as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Portland Trail Blazers 124-118 on Friday, 6 November, at Crypto.com Arena. The Associated Press listed his 11th career 50-point game and his fourth in a Lakers uniform. He shot 17 of 33 from the field and 5 of 15 from three, with five rebounds and five assists.
Portland led by as many as 16 in the first half. Doncic’s 62-foot heave at the buzzer made it 60-53 at the break. He scored 20 in the third quarter. A late 12-point Lakers lead shrank to four before Doncic’s jumper with 28 seconds left and Austin Reaves’ finishing points. Reaves scored 25. Walker Kessler had 16 points and 12 rebounds. Deni Avdija had 22 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists. Damian Lillard scored 22.
