Butterfield Bermuda field is set: 120 players, no round on Monday

No score, because there is no round

Monday, 19 October, is not a PGA Tour competition day. The Butterfield Bermuda Championship starts Thursday, 22 October, and ends Sunday, 25 October, at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton. The PGA Tour lists a 120-player field, a $6 million purse, a winner’s share of $1.08 million and 500 FedExCup points. The cut is the low 65 and ties after 36 holes. Golf Channel’s first-round coverage begins at 1:00 p.m. ET on Thursday. There is no Monday leaderboard on this desk.

Who is in, and who already won in Japan

Golfweek and the PGA Tour list five past champions in the field: Brendon Todd (2019), Seamus Power (2022), Camilo Villegas (2023), Rafael Campos (2024) and Adam Schenk, the defending champion from 2025. Golfweek calls this the eighth playing of the event.

Golf Channel notes that Austin Lemieux, 30, son of Mario Lemieux, qualified through an open event and will make his first PGA Tour start. Miles Russell is among the amateurs. Michael Brennan’s Baycurrent Classic win at 16 under still stands on the PGA Tour board. Keith Mitchell and Jacob Bridgeman were tied for second at 15 under. That event is closed.
